Meet the Dietitian
After 10 years of clinical outpatient nutrition counseling and, more recently, delving into the world of collegiate sports nutrition, I knew my passion needed to also be shared on a more personal level. See, in the outpatient world, the only contact I have with my patients is during the time of their visit and subsequent follow-up sessions. When I am working on my own health and fitness goals I need more hand-holding than that... and I am a RD myself!! What's more, I found a huge gap in the care my patients were receiving in that clinical setting. Rarely were patient's entire lives taken into consideration. Handing a patient a meal plan without fully taking into account their lifestyle, barriers, family situations, etc. made me feel like I was automatically setting them up for failure. What I want my clients/patients to know is that you are not broken. I know you need more than a "copy/paste" meal plan. I know that your relationship with food goes deeper than simply what you put in your mouth. I know what it's like to hear mixed messaging about what diet or style of eating is "best". My goal is to help you navigate that world and put together a plan that makes sense for you. I also know that talking with you once and then about every month from there is simply not enough. When you are making lifestyle changes accountability is everything. I have designed my counseling to include weekly, ongoing accountability. Access to me when you need it. Together, we can help you create the life you know is possible and that you've been dreaming of.
